Caching in Plone
New Juizi site: logging all changes and settings
The following is just a rambling account of how I'm going along, to serve as
a log of what I changed and as a guide to what needs to change on a
plonesite to make it habitable for a business.
I have a stock standard plonesite up at: http://new.juizi.com/
It's very slow, since the caching etc hasn't been done yet. But, it's a start.
Changelog
First got it running at http://www.juizi.com:8080/www_juizi_com/
- Set up Apache as proxy to make it show up at
new.juizi.com
Set preferences
- Mail from name: Juizi Postmaster
- Mail from address: postmaster@juizi.com
- Disallowed external editor
- Set "Generate and e-mail member's initial password " so people cannot join without a valid password.
Changes to left slot:
here/portlet_login/macros/portlet (removed) here/portlet_navigation/macros/portlet here/portlet_news/macros/portlet here/portlet_events/macros/portlet here/portlet_recent/macros/portlet here/portlet_related/macros/portlet here/portlet_review/macros/portlet
Changes to right slot:
here/portlet_calendar/macros/portlet (removed)
Right slot is now empty.
This causes the main page to reflow to two columns.
Next up: slicing graphics and inserting them.
